Driven by this mantra, Karyne Bury has a collective 30 years experience in music as a student, performer and instructor - beginning from her music education at Miami-area magnet schools Coral Reef Senior High and Southwood Middle, to an undergraduate degree in Music from the University of Miami.

Ms. Bury’s dedication to music education led to the founding of Major Scale Music Lessons in August 2011, and in her role as lead instructor she has taught 45 private students to date, students of all ages and all levels. Utilizing various teaching methods and literatures, including the Faber, Bastien and Alfred’s method books, the Brain Based Piano Method, and Ms. Bury instills a holistic approach to music understanding and appreciation. This encompasses musical performance and technical ability along with theory, sight reading, ear training. Students of Major Scale participate in recital performances, competitions and assessments, including the Royal Conservatory Music Development Program (www.rcmusic.com).

Ms. Bury has performed with various local bands and musicians in genres ranging from classical, fusion to alt rock, hip-hop and reggae.
